A brief review of Maulvi Saad’s self-interested relationship with Pakistan

To the respected workers of Dawat and Tabligh,

God knows when Maulvi Saad developed a sense of unease or jealousy towards Pakistan or its people, because it wasn’t there before. He is using the letter written by Hazrat Maulana Ali Miyan Sahib for his own benefit, even though Maulvi Saad himself did not follow any of the points in that letter. At the beginning of the letter, Hazrat wrote, “Respected members of the Shura Jamaat Tabligh, Markaz Nizamuddin,” which proves that Hazrat Maulana had also agreed on the conclusion of the building and the Jamaat Shura. That’s why Hazrat wrote further that at any cost and with any sacrifice, the members of the Shura and those responsible for the Jamaat, who were selected after Hazrat Ji’s death, should maintain unity and agreement, whatever the price may be.

The Shura, which for eighteen years followed Hazrat Maulana’s written words and worked with mutual consultation, sacrifice, and dedication, now had only two gentlemen left. In November 2015, additions were made to this same Hazrat Ji’s Jamaat Shura, with eleven people added from three countries, completing the Jamaat at thirteen, which Maulvi Saad is denying and claiming his own building.

Secondly, Hazrat wrote that they should never travel to Pakistan. Hazrat Maulana Izharul Hasan stopped from going on this trip, but Maulvi Saad did not stop because at that time Pakistan and the people of Pakistan seemed to be in his favor. Since then, he has been continuously traveling to Pakistan every year.

Hazrat also wrote that any decision regarding leadership or federation should only be made in Delhi and Markaz Nizamuddin. Maulvi Saad did not follow this either. In 1999, a decision was made in Pakistan that no matter would be implemented in the world without the agreement of the Shura of the three countries, neither in Kakrail, nor in Raiwind, nor in Nizamuddin. This document bears the signatures of five respected Shura members, including Maulvi Saad’s. Maulvi Saad did not follow this instruction of Hazrat Maulana either.

Maulvi Saad raised the issue of his Nizamuddin Markaz house in Raiwind, Pakistan, for which Mufti Zainul Abidin wrote a letter to Maulana Iftikhar Hasan to divide the house, resulting in the house being divided into two parts. Maulvi Saad also raised in Raiwind, Pakistan, the matter of the afternoon prayer and finger-raising in Masjid Banglewali, proposing that he would lead one day and Maulana Zubair Ahsan Sahib the other, which was not accepted.

Then Maulvi Saad proposed in Raiwind, Pakistan, that they should also take turns leading the prayer at gatherings, with him leading one gathering and Maulana Zubair al-Hasan Sahib the other. This was implemented, and after the prayer at gatherings, without any consultation, he started sitting forcefully with Maulana Zubair al-Hasan Sahib for handshakes so that people would consider them equals. At that time, Maulvi Saad didn’t see any problem with this practice.

After Maulana Zubair Hasan Sahib’s death, Maulvi Saad refused to let Maulvi Zuhair Hasan sit for handshakes, saying that two handshakes are not found in the tradition and that equality is not justice but injustice. So according to Maulvi Saad’s own statement, he had been oppressing Maulvi Zubair al-Hasan Sahib, and now he is oppressing his son, Maulana Zuhair al-Hasan, under the false pretense of tradition and justice.

Similarly, he continued to shake hands equally with Maulana Zubair al-Hasan Sahib at the Markaz gatherings, but now he forbids his son from shaking hands with him. Maulvi Saad himself proposed in Raiwind, Pakistan, after Maulana Izharul Hasan Sahib’s passing, that the decision of consultation should be rotational. For this, four Shura members of the Markaz – Maulana Zubair Hasan Sahib, Maulana Muhammad Umar Sahib, Mianji Mehrab Sahib, and Maulvi Saad – took turns making decisions, and decisions were made for three days at a time.

Now that additions have been made to the Markaz Shura and five decision-makers have been appointed as usual on a rotational basis, Maulvi Saad is refusing. He is denying the rotation of all five decision-makers.

Maulvi Saad traveled to Karachi, Pakistan, for the compilation and authorship of selected Hadiths, which were printed and brought from Karachi. Maulvi Saad tried to include these selected Hadiths in the Tabligh curriculum in Pakistan itself and made separate efforts with Maulana Ibrahim and Professor Khalid Siddiqui, etc., in Raiwind, which has not been accepted to date. Yet, without consultation, it is being implemented in some areas.

If Maulvi Saad had such an aversion to Pakistan, why did he send both his sons to Pakistan to learn about Tabligh? Anyway, when additions were made to the global Shura in November 2015, the atmosphere in Pakistan became unfavorable for Maulvi Saad, and the previous agreement ended. Upon returning from there, he started claiming that taking any issue of the Markaz outside is a great betrayal.

Even after this, he unsuccessfully tried to add his son and three like-minded people to Hazrat Ji’s Shura, in which five gentlemen had been added, and sent a fictional document to Raiwind, Pakistan, which was rejected.

In Raiwind, Pakistan, Maulvi Saad stated that we don’t have a global Shura, but we have a global consultation for which we gather in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and during Hajj. These three places are our global consultation venues. So a global consultation was held in the same Raiwind regarding additions to Hazrat Ji’s Shura, but despite agreeing, he denied it. Due to the denial of the global Shura and global consultation, distance was created from Pakistan and the people of Pakistan.

As a result, this year, Pakistanis decided to perform Hajj separately with their own groups, which was sent in writing to the Shura of Markaz Nizamuddin. Due to this concern, they are repeatedly contacting and appealing to Pakistan and the people of Pakistan, which was evident from Miyan Ahsan’s letter and information about appeals to other gentlemen was received. But they were refused, saying that the decision they had made would stand.

Recently, Maulvi Saad has also sent Arab gentlemen from Saudi Arabia to Raiwind for the resolution of this issue, which has again been refused. Hazrat Ji had formed a Jamaat Shura of three countries, and until now, these three countries’ Jamaat was consulted. But now voices are being raised to consult only one Markaz and to accept only its word, and people are being forced to do so. Is this a game?

For this reason, the companions of the Markaz have also expressed their inability to go for Hajj, and the old workers of the world, especially the old workers of India, have also distanced themselves and have written a letter informing all the Markazes and workers of the world about their distance and the reasons for it.

Other countries have also written in response to Markaz Nizamuddin that until the Shura of all three countries agrees on any one matter, they will not implement it nor come to Markaz Nizamuddin. And on the upcoming 28th August, selected gentlemen from the entire country are gathering in Panvel, Mumbai, in this regard.

This is for your information only. Peace be upon you.
