On 19 December 2024, a Bangladesh Newspaper Daily Naya Diganta, published an article exposing Saad Group Leader’s connection to Israel following the recent Tongi Ijtema Attack.

However, this particularly claim has gone viral. We are thus publishing this article to debunk and question the claims made by the video.

The video was circulated via WhatsApp. We have uploaded it to our youtube channel for this analysis. English subtitles are also provided.
Questionable Claims Made
The video and Naya Diganta article made several questionable and implausible claims.
They claim that Israel has been trying to find ways to destabilize Bangladesh
The newspaper claims that foreign agents have been trying to capitalize on the 2014 Tablighi Jamaat Crisis to create chaos in Bangladesh. Intelligence reports indicate that these plans were being orchestrated from Israel and India.
Our Response
Why would Israel or the ‘Enemies of Islam’ want to destabilize the previous Bangladesh Government? It is well known that they were benefitting from the corrupt Bangladesh Government who was already Anti-Islam.
#1 – They claim that Mufti Usama Islam was caught travelling to Israel
The article claims that in 2016, Ananta M A Jalil and Mufti Usama traveled to Israel. Mufti Usama is Wasiful Islam’s son who is the top most leader of the Saad group in Bangladesh. Ananta Jalil is a famous Bangladesh actor who befriended Mufti Usama.
The article article claims that upon their return, law enforcement agencies made attempts to arrest them based on intelligence reports. However, these attempts were thwarted due to intervention from a neighboring country’s intelligence agency (presumably India).
Our Response
Even if it Usama Islam is corrupted and influenced by Israel, why would he need to go to Israel to construct the plan? Can’t he just communicate with them securely online? Today there are advanced encryption technologyies that makes it impossible to hack even with Quantum Computers. There is no reason for Israel to invite their foreign affiliates when they can just communicate online.
It is also a knwon fact that corrupt Muslim Leaders are visited by Israel/Mossad (in their own countries) rather than them having to go to Israel.
#2 – They claim that Wasiful Islam made a deal with the government to release his son
During this period, the aritlce alleged that Wasiful Islam (Saad group’s top most leader in Bangladesh), made a deal with the then Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal. Despite intelligence reports exposing their dangerous plans, high-level government leaders, intelligence officials, and the neighboring country’s intelligence agency prevented their arrest.
Our Response
We have no comment on this as we question the motive of Usama Islam having gone to Israel in the first place. What proof do they have of him going to Israel in the first place? Please show us Immigration records? Photo evidence? Any proof!
#3 – They claim that Mufti Usama Islam visited Israel again several times after the arrest
The article further claims that intellegnece have further revealed that Ananta Jalil and Mufti Usama made several subsequent trips to Israel to develop sabotage plans. The current violent clashes and bloodshed are reportedly being orchestrated from both Israel and the “neighboring country”.
Our Response
If someone has been caught colluding/going to Israel, why on earth would they go to Israel again, let alone go there several times? Can’t they just use secure online communication now?
Conclusion
We conclude that as of now, the claims made by Naya Diganta are highly implausible and unverified. If you listen to someone propagating this, please advise them not to.
