Assalamualaykum. I apologise, for this lengthy talk, but I want to remind you all.

All of you sitting here today—Batla Sahib, Dr. Saleem, Nadeem Ashraf, Iftikhar, and all the others—there was a time during the Quraish-e-Zaban era when you couldn’t even pass through here. You wouldn’t have dared to cross this place. If a decent utensil was placed in front of you, and if you even heard that Zia-ul-Haq was coming, you’d hide the utensil fearing Khwaja Zia might see it.

Have you forgotten who brought you people to this stage?

It was because of me that you all found a seat among these respected gatherings. Even animals don’t forget favours, yet you people have crossed these limits.

Had I not stood up that day, you all would still be sitting in the corner. I fought the battle and got you out, I closed the paths they were coming from. It was I who made it possible for you to sit in those gatherings.

Yet (today) you’ve made me your enemy. You set up slanders and obstacles. Have some shame, have some decency!

I’m not speaking to you all, Maulvi Khurshid; I’m speaking to them—like Zia-ul-Haq. You people should be ashamed. Is this what you call Tabligh?

In 2018, Maulana Hasan Sahib approved me to deliver a Bayan. It was decided. Then Maulvi Zia-ul-Haq said, “My opinion is that Maulana Tariq Jamil should not speak, he may talk to the guests.”

That fool didn’t even know how to give an opinion. An opinion (in Tabligh) is to suggest who should speak, not who shouldn’t speak.

Then his uncle grabbed a stick and went from person to person demanding my name be removed from the schedule. Why? Because Fazlur Rahman was upset.

Habib-ul-Haq Sahib also became very furious—he even declared me a Murtad! And the same was true for others too. These fools don’t realise that I was the sole reason they had a seat at that Mashwara—and now they treat me with such vulgarity and indecency.

I’m not saying this out of ego. But this whole group has deviated, and I believe Allah will remove them from this path.

In the Mashwara, Maulvi Habib-ur-Rahman took my name, and Maulvi Batla humiliated him instantly. I was present. These people don’t even know the sacred rules of Mashwara.

So brothers, all of you—repent. Improve your manners, improve your approach. End this groupism.

You have created a new history—blocking all four doors, placing guards on all four roads. Shame on you!

Even after knowing what was happening, you went ahead with the decision. I swear by Allah, I never wanted this. My 54-year history (in Tabligh) is witness that I never took such steps.

But this internal fire has burned the house down. You people are the ones lighting the fire of this peaceful place.

Assalamualaykum again.

Dr. Nadeem Ashraf—I had also messaged Maulvi Khurshid, so let me say this too: The way you all have deteriorated the moral fabric of this work and brought down the mission of Tabligh—when I saw what was happening in Mansehra, it reminded me of what Maulana Yusuf once said: “No one else will destroy this work—only its own people will.”

First came Raja Afsar’s group—Allah cleared them out. Then came the Qureshis—Allah cleared them out too. Now it’s your group.

The way your affairs are running in Raiwind—fix them. May Allah keep you all steadfast. But if you continue like this, be prepared. Allah’s unseen system will remove you too.

This is a moral degradation. Maulvi Khurshid is much younger than me. Maulvi Zahir-ul-Haq is also younger than me. Yet do you have no sense of respect for your elders?

Allah gave me birth in a noble family. And in the religious world too, no one has been given as much fame as I have.

Yet you people became thugs against me—blocking roads, digging pits, tearing down bridges.

If this is Tabligh, then its funeral has been prayed. May Allah protect you, and keep you united, but if this is your behaviour, the time of downfall is near.

Assalamualaykum again.

Let me remind you again—in 2018 you brought a new Bat Sahib, saying “You are not to be part of the Mashwara.” What kind of Tabligh is this?

I’ve never seen this in the Qur’an, in Hadith, in the Seerah, nor from Maulana Inaamul Hasan Sahib, nor from Maulana Abdul-Aziz, nor from Maulana Yusuf, nor Maulana Ilyas. This is your own invented Tabligh.

You remember clearly, the next gathering, you brought 10 people with you: Dr. Nadeem Sahib, Dr. Saleem Sahib, Dr. Roohullah Sahib, Maulvi Iftikhar, Maulvi Zia-ul-Haq, Maulvi Khurshid, Chaudhry Rafiq Sahib, Naeem Shah Sahib, Hashmat Sahib—there was one more. (I forgot but) I counted ten.

(At that tiem) You all came to my living room and said, “You are not to be part of the Mashwara.”

Are you blind to reason (this is outrageous)? Is this what you call Tabligh?

I’ve never demanded that I must speak, nor have I said don’t let me speak.

Maulana Hasan Sahib took my name—it was confirmed. Then you know in the next message what Maulvi Habib-ul-Haq and Zia-ul-Haq did.

Is this what you call Tabligh?

Maulvi Atiq told me himself that “Adeeb Musharraf says Tariq Jamil’s name should not be taken in Mashwara.”

Maulvi Sohail even held a meeting with the Ulema to instruct them if Maulana Tariq Jamil’s name comes up, you all must stand and protest.

Yet when Maulana Hasan suggested my name, no one dared to stand. If someone else had taken it, maybe they would have.

Even my own students came and told me what happened.

And you used Umar Farooq to block the visas of Maulvi Saeed’s Jamaats?

Is this Tabligh?

You people neither understand religion, nor the Qur’an, nor the Seerah. What are you doing sitting here?

You have hurt me deeply.

Allah used me to spread this message to the six continents of the world. Outside Raiwind, no one even knows who you are.

Batla Sahib was speaking in Karachi, and the crowd was asking, “Who is this man speaking?”

You think of people as sheep to be herded.

I never asked to be the speaker. But the way your morals have declined—my old wounds had scabbed, but your filth has torn them open again. This will not end well.

Soon, Allah’s unseen hand will move. By Allah, I never conspire. But Allah’s unseen system will toss you out, like it tossed the Qureshis.

You have neither shame nor decency.

You drew a line—Tariq Jamil on one side, and you on the other.

You say my sons are making money? Fear Allah! What kind of talk is this?

You don’t even understand the ranks. I’ve dedicated my life. Since 18, I’ve been on this path. Now I’m 72. You wretched people—can’t you see?

Allah brought me here from a great family, through immense sacrifice—and you treat me like a plaything?

You put those who don’t even know how to speak in charge. The one Allah blessed, you try to cut down.

When Abdul Haq Sahib used to read the revelations of Kashf, where were your principles then?

You’ve made Yusuf Khurshid the leader of Rawalpindi—but he was always Maulvi Saad’s ally.

All of this is just for me. I will step aside quietly, visit the local masjid, attend the Thursday gathering, go for ghash (local preaching). But I will never leave Tabligh—not even at death’s door.

I’m calling you to shame—for your own good. Your hearts are filled with hypocrisy. You locked Raiwind, fearing that if I return, things will shift.

Anyway, I am deeply hurt. You know how many years we’ve been together—I never spoke like this before.

You’ve pushed me to the edge. But your own end is near, too. If you continue with this indecency and hypocrisy, you too will fall.

Maulvi Batla is the Amir now? Who made him Amir? Who decided that?

A man who can’t tolerate a second of anger—how can he be Amir?

And you all keep him in charge?

I will spread this message around the world.

Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.

Maulvi Khurshid, this message is not specifically for you—just let those for whom it’s meant hear it.

Lastly, in 2000, Maulvi Arshad’s group came, and Raja Afsar made me a target. Then Raiwind’s system collapsed. Allah removed them.

Then the Qureshi group came—and Allah removed them too.

Now your group has surpassed both in foolishness.

So prepare yourselves—your time is coming.

No one can stop Allah’s decree.

I pray for you, you are dear friends, may Allah give you steadfastness.

But the pile of foolishness and incompetence you’ve built surpasses all.

You’re digging your own graves—and the fall is near.

Maulana Tariq Jamil’s behaviour: Eye Witness testimony of what really happened

One of the senior elders in Mansehra explained in Audio what really happened during the Mansehra Ijtema.

His testimoney audio (URDU)

Translation

Assalamualaikum

When the Mansehra Ijtema began, news also came that Maulana Tariq Jameel had arrived. He had indeed come, but not according to the usual system or arrangement—not through Mashwara or arrangment of the Raiwind elders. He came on his own terms. He also gave a speech at Hazara University and went to visit Maulana Ghaus Azarvi as well.

When the day of Mashwara came and matters of the Ijtema were being decided, Maulana Khurshid Sahib, Ibadullah Sahib, Babar Javed Sahib, Hashmat Sahib, and Saeed Sahib, along with maybe two or three others from Raiwind, attended the mashwara. All matters were finalized in the meeting. Maulana Tariq Jameel was also present, and all activities were settled according to the standard procedure.

My own peer, who is also the Ameer of the Shura of Area 18—from Haripur to Gilgit, was present and confirmed this. He said that all matters were agreed upon, and no one even mentioned Maulana Tariq Jameel’s name in any duty or role. Not a single person did.

Then, Maulana Tariq Jameel forcefully snatched the mic from Maulana Khurshid Sahib and started speaking. He said things like:

“Allah used me across continents,”

“This Maulana Khurshid—he was a child, I guided him with my finger,”

“And this Zia-ul-Haq who’s sitting here—I taught him book sin Arabic word by word.”

He continued:

“I did this work, I was behind all this, and now people want me. On social media, it’s spreading that my talk will happen after Zuhr. So I will speak after Zuhr tomorrow—no matter what.”

Then, as he got up, he said many more things—some of them sounding quite arrogant. I don’t want to say outright that it was pride or ego, because his staunch supporters might get upset—but that was the overall tone.

He also said:

“This Shura is full of hypocrites—all of them! Every Shura has hypocrites!”

Then, as he started leaving, he threw down the mic, saying: “I will speak tomorrow.”

Then he said, “No, I won’t.”

Then smiled and said, “If I wanted, I could speak forcefully. But now, I am fearful (of Allah)”

He left with a smirk.

Later, the elders found out that he had independently planned a talk. Then, Maulana Asif Sahib, in Mashwara with others, including my peer and myself, sent a delegation. My peer asked Maulana Fazl-e-Hadi, famously known as Shah Sahib of Allai, what had happened.

He said:

“Three scholars and a senior Tablighi elder went to meet him after Fajr. He was staying at the mansion of a wealthy man—some political figure named Nawaz Khan. When we arrived, his assistant recognized me—he used to study with my son.”

We said: “We want to meet Maulana.”

He asked: “Why?”

We replied: “The Shura has sent us to tell him not to deliver a Bayan, as decided in Mashwara. And if he wants to speak, he must contact Raiwind and schedule it officially.”

Maulana Tariq Jamil wanted to give a Bayan no matter what

Maulana Tariq Jameel sent word from inside: “I will speak—no matter what.”

Then some local political leaders like Ishaq Muhammad Khan and other MNAs/MPAs from Mansehra also came and requested him not to speak. This seemed to soften his stance.

But then, his students from Jamia Hasnain came and sat right in front of the stage, along with some rough types from PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf)—you know, the types we can’t even describe respectfully.

Then, a senior scholar from the central markaz, possibly the branch administrator, came to where the elders of all Markaz were sitting—including myself—and informed us:

“They are going to push through and come up anyway.”

So naturally, everyone became angry and defensive, feeling that this went against our ethos.

Yes, we respect him (Maulana Tariq Jamil)—but this was completely against our Tablighi temperament. Open support of political parties, appearing on mainstream media like celebrities—this goes against our principles.

Everyone rose. An internal mashwara was held again. The decision was made not to allow him.

Security duties were assigned. Our vehicle was relatively large (a Suzuki). One brother said, “Park your car this way,”—so we did. Another car blocked from the other side. We also blocked roads leading into the gathering grounds.

Maulana Tariq Jamil’s car could not enter the Ijtema main area

During the prayer, we heard sirens from some of his cars. Later, I asked a trusted companion, and he confirmed:

“They turned him away from the road itself.”

That’s how he (Maulana Tariq Jamil) was forcibly sent back.

Right before the prayer, Maulana Ibadullah Sahib was on the mimbar (pulpit), and Maulana Zia-ul-Haq Sahib was gently advising the crowd not to push forward, to sit in their places. Maulana Ibadullah would call out to any individual who stood up:

“Sit him down, sit him down.”

Maulana Zia-ul-Haq spoke kindly:

“This is a gathering of guidance. May Allah make it a means of spreading guidance.”

*In short, Maulana Tariq Jameel lost whatever remaining respect or honour he had among the Raiwind elders and the Tablighi Jamaat community.

All those involved—whether in four-month jamaats or seven-month jamaats, or among the Shura—expressed deep disappointment, even anger. Even someone like me, a simple-hearted faqir, found it very upsetting.

That was the full report.

After that, Maulana Tariq Jamil went to Islamabad and reportedly said: “This is a region of hypocrites. I will never return here again.”

If Maulana had forcibly climbed the mimbar that day, it would have been a betrayal—not just of our leadership, but of Hazrat Maulana Ilyas (RA) and Haji Abdul Wahhab Sahib’s legacy and sacrifices.

That pulpit wasn’t meant to be climbed in that way—it would’ve been a betrayal of Tabligh itself.

May Allah protect us all, keep us safe from arrogance, and grant us the ability to follow the mashwara system. May we all continue in accordance with the temperament of our elders, which is our source of well-being. Just like the Sipah Sahaba lost their way when they lost their temperament, so too will we if we stray from the ways laid down by our elders.

Even though Maulana Tariq Jameel spoke at length, Maulana Khurshid Sahib and the other elders stayed completely silent. They gave no reply. But naturally, they must be reflecting now—what to do going forward?

That is the complete report.

Wassalam.

Why was Maulana Tariq Jamil not allowed to give Bayan?

Maulana Tariq Jamil has been critisized by many Ulema for his controversial Bayans. In order to protect the sanctity of this work, it is important for Tablighi Jamaat to distance themselves from him.
