On 23rd February 2025, following misinformation being spread with regards to Maulana Saad’s visit to Darul Uloom Deoband, Mufti Abul Qasim Nomain clarified the misinformation spread. In the audio he claims that Maulana Saad’s recent statements are even worse than before.

Questioner:
Hazrat, I wanted to ask something. A few days ago, Hazrat Maulana (Saad) Sahib (May his blessings continue) visited Darul Uloom Deoband. He also went to Darul Ifta and met with the scholars. Social media is spreading news that Darul Uloom’s previous stance and its ideologies have been completely abandoned.
Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani:
This is false. He did not say anything regarding ideologies. He only went for a meeting. Neither did he meet with me, nor did he speak with me in any capacity. He went solely for a personal visit. He met with Maulana Arshad Sahib, went to Darul Ifta, and sat with Mufti Mustafa Mahmood Sahib for a short while. However, there was no discussion regarding his ideologies or thoughts, nor did he retract from any of his views.
Darul Uloom’s stance remains firm and unchanged, completely intact. In fact, his (Maulana Saad’s) recent statements are even worse than before. He is challenging the Ulema, saying that people should abandon fatwas and follow their hearts instead. These are the kinds of statements they are making. He has not made Ruju from anything.
