The following is a 2021 Audio testimony of a decision by the Ulema of Pakistan to conclude that the Alami Shura is the Ijma (majority Ulema) opinion with regards to the Tablighi Jamaat Split.

I want to say that similarly, there has been an attempt to divide the Tablighi Jamaat. A brief, informal meeting was held about this in Islamabad at Jamia Ta’limul Islamia Sohaan. In this, all the respected elders decided that just as we are looking at the majority in other religious matters, in the case of Wafaq-ul-Madaris, who are we looking at? The majority. “My ummah will not unite upon misguidance.” Differences will arise, they will arise in different eras, but we are with the majority. Similarly, when differences were raised in Jamiat-ur-Rahma, we went with the majority. In the World Assembly for the Protection of the Finality of Prophethood, conspiracies were made, but we are with the majority and the respected chain. So in the Tablighi Jamaat too, where there is an attempt and conspiracy to create rifts, we are with the majority and the Shura of Raiwind. God willing, all of you gentlemen support this, and InshaAllah, we will cooperate with them step by step as they decide.
Under the World Assembly for the Protection of the Finality of Prophethood, a large gathering is taking place on September 6th in Liaquat Bagh. Keep this in mind from now on, and InshaAllah, Allah Almighty has prepared the mind for it. That is also all of our responsibility. Look, I work in Jamiat, the leader is serving the Wafaq, Maulana Tayyab Sahib is in Khatm-e-Nabuwwat, and our other gentlemen. But here in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, as the environment is, we are each other’s supporters. We become the spokespersons for all movements, and InshaAllah, the effort will be that this environment is created throughout the country. InshaAllah, it depends on your enthusiasm how far you take this. For this too, these gentlemen are saying on the eleventh of July.
