The following is an open letter written by a Kakrail elder, Maulana Shahriar, detailing Wasiful Islam’s treachery.

An Open Letter to Brother Wasif – 1 (In response to the letter written to Maulana Zubair Saheb)
To: Syed Wasiful Islam (Representative of Maulana Saad Saheb in Bangladesh)
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah.
Dear Brother Wasif,
I hope by Allah’s infinite grace you are engaged in following Saad Saheb with wellbeing. The matter in which you had notarized and publicized with stamps that you would follow Saad Saheb’s leadership until death. Brother Wasif, we are amazed that after so many years of Tabligh or religious work, you couldn’t understand this small thing that anyone except the Prophet can go astray at any time. May Allah grant you the blessing of guidance. Ameen.
Dear Brother Wasif,
You should remember when Professor Mushfiq (RA) came forward with several allegations including misappropriation of 200 crore taka against you, you told me that a khalifa of Maulana Mahmudul Hasan Saheb, Professor Mushfiq and some of his students were against me. Help me. At that time, being the elder of Kakrail, I helped you. I took you in my car to Mufti Abdur Rahman Saheb of Bashundhara. Including Maulana Nur Hossein Saheb, I conducted at least 10 meetings regarding your matter. I worked on this issue of yours for almost a year. Professor Anwar, Sheikh Nur Mohammad, Dr. Nafis, Engineer Waliul Islam and others in 2014 had major allegations against you that you don’t follow Nizamuddin, you don’t follow Maulana Saad Saheb. Then Brother Wasif, what greed made you become a blind follower of Saad Saheb from the Pakistan Ijtema in 2015? Due to deep love and connection with you, I sat down to respond to Maulana Zubair Saheb Huzur’s letter.
In 2016, when Hazrat Maulana Ibrahim Dewla Saheb’s letter came to my hands from Delhi, we came to Kakrail Mosque with about 50 top scholars of Bangladesh and requested all the Shura of Kakrail including you and Maulana Zubair Saheb to let Delhi’s problems stay in Delhi. Let us all stay united in Bangladesh. If Saad Saheb becomes right, we will work with him again. Maulana Zubair Saheb, Maulana Rabiul Haq Saheb and other Ulama Shura Hazrats said that to do Tabligh, we need the support of Ulama Hazrats. But you didn’t listen. Although you sent a letter through Nasim Saheb to Saad Saheb about not coming to Bangladesh to pacify the Ulama Hazrats, later you sent Maulana Farid Uddin Masud to Nizamuddin (Delhi) to invite Saad Saheb to Bangladesh. Despite almost all Ulama-e-Keram of Bangladesh forbidding it, you brought Saad Saheb to Bangladesh with the help of Indian “RAW”. Although the government was forced to send him back due to strong pressure from Ulama and monotheistic people.
Brother Wasif, You wrote in your letter that you tried many times to resolve with us privately. Great regret – when Tabligh worldwide is divided because of Saad Saheb, do you think it will be resolved just by your private attempts? You should have had at least this much wisdom.
You wrote that political evil circles used Zubair Saheb to eliminate you. Regrettably, you yourself have learned politics. You gave the title of political evil circle to the vigilant guardians of religion, the Ulama-e-Keram, for alerting the Ummah from misguided Saad Saheb’s hand and protecting the Ummah and religion. Shame on you.
Respected Brother Wasif, through your letter and through some words of open challenge by your followers, it seems you are very respectful and trustful of Darul Uloom and its teachers. Then why, when the fatwa against Saad Saheb was issued in 2016 with signatures of important teachers of Darul Uloom including Hazrat Maulana Arshad Madani Saheb, which declared Saad Saheb’s deviation from Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaat, did you take Saad Saheb’s side instead of accepting Darul Uloom Deoband’s fatwa? Did you not receive the letter that Hazrat Maulana Taqi Usmani Saheb sent a few days ago warning Saad Saheb? Even if you don’t have it, we have it in our possession. With hundreds of thousands of scholars in Bangladesh, you didn’t suggest anyone as judge, but mentioned two people who would not agree to do this work. It’s very sad that you continue to make a mockery of religion. You couldn’t get Saad Saheb to repent according to Darul Uloom Deoband’s conditions until today. Yet you keep making reconciliation proposals. Though how will you make him repent? He keeps repeating controversial statements and actions. Even in 2024, Saad Saheb has made many controversial statements.
Brother Wasif,
Due to time constraints and needing time for preparation, we couldn’t meet with the administration on November 4th. Later on November 7th, we had a meeting with the government. Yet you wrote that we ignored the meeting with the government. All these activities of yours seem childish. Besides this, we have in our possession the names, lists and videos of your followers who accompanied Ilias Molla of Mirpur, Jahangir of Gazipur, Salman F Rahman during the Awami government time giving “Joy Bangla” slogans.
The heartfelt demand of all Ulama-e-Keram worldwide is: either bring Maulana Saad Saheb to the path of correction or abandon him. Regrettably, you and your followers continue to show stubbornness by thumbing your nose at this logical demand.
Brother Wasif,
The good opinion you had about Hazrat Maulana Zubair Saheb – by Allah’s mercy he still fully maintains those qualities. If you can come out of blind following of Saad Saheb, you will see it with your own eyes.
You have threatened that you will create another December 1st, 2018. Remember, with direct help from the then government’s police department, you deceived and bloodied 4-5 thousand students, Tabligh brothers, and scholars – that wound has not yet healed. Insha Allah, you will soon face its consequences.
On behalf of Bangladesh’s religious Muslims, scholars, and Tabligh brothers, I am firmly and clearly telling you and your followers that we are the true followers of World Markaz Nizamuddin. Our elders Hazrat Maulana Ibrahim Dewla Saheb, Maulana Ahmed Lat Saheb and other elders of Nizamuddin who came to Nizamuddin Markaz before Saad Saheb’s birth, who have been doing Tabligh since before Saad Saheb’s birth, from whom Saad Saheb learned knowledge, studied Bukhari Sharif – they are the true elders and successors of World Markaz Nizamuddin. Millions of monotheistic people and students of Bangladesh have declared solidarity with them. Considering them weak will be a grave mistake for you.
Dear Brother Wasif,
Finally, I say, Brother Nasim left this world doing blind following. Please return to the path of truth, return to the path of righteousness. We had no enmity with you or your followers, nor do we now. Until Saad Saheb is reformed, abandon him, follow the path of truth according to Quran and Hadith – we will welcome you. Don’t keep Tabligh divided worldwide for just one person. Return without further destroying this beautiful garden of dawah and tabligh. If you and your followers return, Saad Saheb will become weak. Maybe he will return to truth, correct himself. May Allah accept us all for sincere work of religion. Ameen.
