NEW FATWA INQUIRY 4 SEP 2024
With respect, allow me to refer to the above matter, and your inquiry dated 6 September 2024 is related to this.
- For your information, after examining the said statement, this Department is of the view that the claim that a person’s faith (iman) is higher than the faith of all the Prophets, Companions, and Angels is incorrect. This is because human beings are ordinary individuals who commit both good and evil, whereas the Prophets and Angels are maksum (infallible / sinless).
- Therefore, as believing Muslims, such matters and thinking of this nature must be avoided so as not to lead to the corruption of one’s creed (aqeedah).
