NEW FATWA INQUIRY 4 SEP 2024
With respect, allow me to refer to the above matter and to your inquiry dated 6 September 2024, which relates to that matter.
- For your information, after examining the said statement, this Department is of the view that the claim that a person’s faith (iman) is higher than the faith of all the Prophets, Companions, and Angels is incorrect. This is because human beings are ordinary individuals who commit both good and evil, whereas the Prophets and Angels are maksum (infallible or sinless).
- Therefore, believing Muslims must avoid such matters and thinking of this nature, so that they do not lead to the corruption of one’s creed (aqeedah).
Your cooperation and concern in prioritising Islamic Law are greatly appreciated. That is all for now.
