On the 23rd of August 2015, Maulana Saad cursed the Muqeems of Nizamuddin to Jahannam for not accepting him as the Ameer.
The Muqeems are elders who due to their dedication to the work of Da’wa, decided to live most of their lives in the service of the Nizamuddin Markaz. They stay in the small rooms there with many of them having been there more than 40 years.
M Saad himself is not a Muqeem; he has his own residence and returns home to his family each day.
The following dialogue took place during a Mashwara in Nizamuddin Markaz, Delhi. Some of the senior elders of Tablighi Jamaat such as Maulana Ibrahim Dewla, Prof Tsanaullah and Dr Khalid Siddiqui were present during the dialogue. Prof Tsanaullah was the key person who confronted M Saad. M Saad was in a state of anger while Dr Khalid Siddiqui tried to calm the situation down.
NOTE: Before reading further, please understand that our aim is to preserve the true history of Tabligh, no matter how bitter it is. As generations come, this history may be forgotten. We do not promote hate, and certainly not backbiting. See our article ‘Backbiting vs Warning‘. No matter how bad a Muslim is, he is still our Muslim brother. We love and hate only for the sake of Allah.
Markaz Elder: Whatever incident occurred at Bhopal (Ijtema), we came for that very purpose. Brother, this is a collective effort, which could have been resolved amongst ourselves. Then again three months later, the violence of Mewatis occurred, and even then you took no action. You could have come out and enquired as to why these Mewatis have gathered in the masjid and turned into a mob. Police came to know about this and it was in the newspapers.
Who’s image got tarnished? The work got tarnished, and the Masjid got tarnished. This place which was once (shielded from such chaos like a) fort, has now been reduced to a heap of sand!
Prof Sanaullah: Decide today whether this effort is for the people or is your own property. You keep on saying Shura here, Shura there, yet why is there no Shura here? Tell us, this is the Markaz. We need an answer. Everywhere in the World, there is a Shura. Why not here? The whole world (many people) have written to you as to why there is no Shura here. Answer this.
Maulana Saad: There is a shura.
Markaz Elder: Who is it?
Maulana Saad: Everyone is Shura here
Markaz Elder: No, this is not a Shura. These hundred people, two hundred people are not a Shura, I am not a Shura. A Shura ought to be nominated. Why isn’t this happening? If this effort is your own property, then say it’s my inheritance and if it’s the people’s effort, then let it run according to the public.
(Some commotions start)
Maulana Saad: I am the Ameer.. I am Zimmedar! (main Ameer hoon.. main zimmedar hoon)
Markaz Elder: You are not the Ameer! (tum Ameer nahin ho)
Maulana Saad: if you do not agree then don’t! (aap nahin maante na mano)
Markaz Elder: We do not agree! (hum nahin maante)
Maulana Saad: If you don’t agree .. then don’t agree! (aap agar nahin maante mat maano)
Markaz Elder: It shall be decided here today! (aaj faisla hoga yahan)
Maulana Saad: If you do not agree.. go to Jahannam (hell)!!! (nahin maante jahannum me jao)
Dr Khalid Siddiqui (trying to softly calm down the situation): Do come here, do come here (aiye na, aiye na)
Maulana Saad (Speaking in anger): I am the Ameer of all!!! These are the people of Shura. You, people of the area, are my Shura. Me, I am the Zimmedar. I shall do whatever I feel like!! Nothing is happening, everything is with Aafiyat (peace) .. these people of the area are up to something!
(main sab ka ameer hoon!! ye shura ke aadmi.. tum basti wale meri shura ho.. main.. main zimmedar hoon bas.. main jo chahunga vo karunga.. kuch nahin horaha.. sab aafiyat hai..
Ye sab basti wale kar rahe..)
Maulana Saad: I am the Ameer of all of you! By (Allah), I am the Ameer of all of you! (Main tum sab ka Ameer hoon.. Khuda ki kasam main tum sab ka ameer hoon)
