(The late) Cecep Firdaus was not alim. He was banking worker before joinint tabligh. However, many Indonesian syuros were alim likely (the late) Kyai Haji Mukhlisun, (the late) Kyai Yusul Al Banjari, etc were Aalamy Syuro followers. The current alims now are only to do dakwah to protect and survive their students and Islamic boarding schools. They are not doing dakwah lillahi’atal (for the sake of Alloh)
